      hello mrs penno, my favourite part of astrophysics is the mystery behind the formation of black holes. have you ever thought about how the universe works and what a singularity is?

      Kia ora ano Brody. Well... your reply made me think... I actually had this amazing teacher colleague when I was working in the UK many years ago that sat down and explained how a black hole worked. The next week an episode of Star Trek (I think?) showed what it would look like with everything slowing down as it approached the event horizon! Way cool to see a theory being shown in pictures. I learn by visual cues, so I've never forgotten that learning. What is a singularity? I have heard of it but without 'Googling' it I'm not entirely sure I could explain it. Mrs Penno
